Start with clean skin.</span></b><br /><span style="font-size: large;">Make sure all of yesterday's eyemakeup, eyeliner and mascara have been completely removed.</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;">Use an eye gel or eye cream specific to your skin type and hydrate your eye area.</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;">(if the area is dry or under-hydrated makeup will grab to the skin and look blotchy and patchy, and also make you look old).</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><b><span style="font-size: large;">2. <span style="font-size: large;">A</span>pply </span></b><span style="font-size: large;"><b><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: large;">a </span>sheer veil of </span>your foundation</b> over the eye area. This helps to create a smooth, even canvas to work with. Set the foundation with a light coat of powder. If the foundation is not set, or if you don't use foundation, the eye shadows have nothing to grip onto, and will slip away as the day progresses.</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><span style="font-size: large;"><b>3. Use an eye shadow primer</b>. These will help the eye shadow to go on evenly and help it to bind nicely to the eyelid.Eye shadow primer also helps to get the color of your shadow to look really good and true.</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><span style="font-size: large;"><b>4. Use a really good quality brush</b> to apply your shadow. A good quality brush will pick up the shadow better, glide it across the eye without shedding it everywhere, and deposit the shadow into the skin much better, allowing it to stay all day.</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><span style="font-size: large;">I use badger hair brushes from my own line, available at <a href="http://corinnab.com/">CorinnaB.com</a></span><br /><br /><span style="font-size: large;">Here's the video: </span><br /><br /><span style="font-size: large;"> <span style="font-size: large;"><div><object data="http://cdn-i.dmdentertainment.com/DMVideoPlayer/player.swf" height="349" id="player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="620"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="movie" value="http://cdn-i.dmdentertainment.com/DMVideoPlayer/player.swf" /><param name="flashVars" value="KEYWORDS=makeup%20tips%2Cbeauty%20tips%2Cmakeup%20application&source=http%3A//cdn-viper.demandvideo.com/media/296e5844-81f8-4c87-b873-18543c4b33d6/flash/982272e5-c7f3-4f1d-94bf-07a6aad53cc7.flv&demand_video_timeout=5&CATEGORIES=Fashion%2C%20Style%20%26%20Personal%20Care&demand_uihex=%23ffffff&demand_continuous_play=1&DESC=There%20are%20a%20few%20different%20ways%20in%20which%20you%20can%20keep%20your%20eye%20makeup%20from%20disappearing%20depending%20on%20your%20preferences.%20Keep%20your%20eye%20makeup%20from%20disappearing%20with%20help%20from%20a%20makeup%20and%20beauty%20professional%20in%20this%20free%20video%20clip.&cp=1&demand_cat=Fashion%2C%20Style%20%26%20Personal%20Care&ADAPTAG=makeup%20tips%2Cbeauty%20tips%2Cmakeup%20application&demand_scat=Beauty&COMPANION_DIV_ID=companionAd300x250&purl=http%3A//cdn-i.dmdentertainment.com/DMVideoPlayer/player.swf&demand_sscat=Eye%20Makeup&overlayAdPartner=ScanScout&sitename=ehow&demand_related=3&ss_progId=4d94c0888205a&demand_site_id=EHWC&demand_share=facebook%2Ctwitter%2Cemail&wa_vloc=video_detail&video_title=How%20to%20Keep%20My%20Eye%20Makeup%20From%20Disappearing&demand_enableJS=0&demand_show_rvtab=1&demand_rvdisplaymode=0&taboolaId=ehow&sourcehd=http%3A//cdn-viper.demandvideo.com/media/296e5844-81f8-4c87-b873-18543c4b33d6/flashHD/982272e5-c7f3-4f1d-94bf-07a6aad53cc7.flv&v=4.0.8c&done=true&demand_hd=0&demand_page_url=http%3A//www.ehow.com/video_12254496_keep-eye-makeup-disappearing.html&skin=http%3A//cdn-i.dmdentertainment.com/DMVideoPlayer/playerskin.swf&comscore_c3=7290850&demand_autoplay=0&demand_content_sourcekey=http%3A//www.ehow.com&comscore_c4=7385216&demand_fb=false&demand_content_id=982272e5-c7f3-4f1d-94bf-07a6aad53cc7&CONTEXT=%7B%22scat%22%3A%22Beauty%22%2C%22sscat%22%3A%22Eye%20Makeup%22%7D&demand_studio_id=982272e5-c7f3-4f1d-94bf-07a6aad53cc7&demand_iconurl=http%3A//v5-static.ehowcdn.com/media/images/logos/video-player.png&TITLE=How%20to%20Keep%20My%20Eye%20Makeup%20From%20Disappearing&demand_icontext=Discover%20the%20expert%20in%20you.%20Check%20out%20millions%20of%20articles%20and%20videos%20on%20topics%20that%20are%20important%20to%20you%20across%20Home%2C%20Money%2C%20Food%2C%20Style%2C%20Health%20and%20more%21&ALT_KEY=DemandMediaehowoffsite&adPartner=Adap&demand_iconlink=http%3A//www.ehow.com/&KEY=DemandMediaehowoffsite&demand_related_feed=http%3A//www.ehow.com/services/video/series.xml&ID=982272e5-c7f3-4f1d-94bf-07a6aad53cc7&demand_email_url=http%3A//www.ehow.com/services/video/email.html&demand_ehow_videoid=12254496&wa_vemb=1" /></object><br /><a href="http://www.ehow.com/video_12254496_keep-eye-makeup-disappearing.html">How to Keep My Eye Makeup From Disappearing</a> -- powered by ehow</div></span></span></div>
